The Blossoming of Monthly and Yearly Mahotsavams

With Periyava’s divine will, the Monthly Anusha Jayanthi Mahotsavam, the Yearly Jayanthi, and the Aradhana Mahotsavam commenced in South Bangalore. These gatherings initially took place at JP Nagar Periyava Gruham, becoming a sanctified space echoing with Vedic chants, sahasranāma parayanams, and the silent presence of Periyava.

By 2021, as the community of devotees grew, the venue was shifted to the serene and spiritually charged Sri Pattabhi Rama Temple, Jayanagar 4th T Block. Since then, each month, around 300 devotees gather for the Yagnam, and close to 800 devotees offer their prayers and gratitude during the Yearly Mahotsavam—an inspiring reflection of collective devotion.

The Birth of SARVAM MAHA PERIYAVA ARPANAM (SMPA)

With Periyava’s infinite compassion and the overwhelming support of devotees, the year 2025 marked a blessed milestone. To preserve, promote, and uphold the eternal values of Sanātana Dharma, a religious-cum-charitable trust was formed in His divine name:

“SARVAM MAHA PERIYAVA ARPANAM” (SMPA)

Under SMPA, the sacred tradition of Veda Samrakshanam has been strengthened, which was started in 2015. Each month, for seven days, Vedic scholars visit seven different homes, performing the Veda Saptāgam, covering all four Vedas—

Rig, Yajur, Krishna Yajur, Shukla Yajur, Sama, and Atharvana.

This noble initiative stands as a living offering to Periyava’s vision of sustaining Vedic learning in every household. Along with the monthly Veda Parayanam, SMPA also conducts yearly Kruthika Mandala Parayanam for the entire 48 days with 4 Ritwiks every day & Navaratri Festival in the grand manner at Sri Pattabhi Rama Temple, Jayangar, Bangalore South.
